Underneath the somewhat crass exterior, this book is quite clever and funny. I also enjoyed what I perceived to be the underlying theme, but I'm not confident enough that others will read the same thing into so I'm not going to disclose what I thought it was. Anyway, I give Daniel Handler (brother of Chelsea) points for the deepness that I found in it, regardless of whether or not he put it there.
