It

Stephen King
It was the children who saw - and felt - what made the town so horribly different. In the storm drains and sewers 'It' lurked, taking the shape of every nightmare, each one's deepest dread. As the children grow up and move away, the horror of 'It' is buried deep - until they are called back.

Hands down his best novel! I read it in my teens, reread it in my twenties, my thirties,.. and probably will take my battered copy of this book with me to the nursing home (where I'll perhaps start my own Losers group to try to beat the devil :-) :-)

my thoughts: 1) could have been cut in half, honestly, but still good. 2) Stephen King's son still outdoes him in writing ability and story construction. boom.
