AAP Almanac 2018

Art Asia Pacific Almanac 2018 is a compendium of the most significant art events of 2017 and a look ahead at what’s next, in 2018. In addition to spotlighting the 53 countries that constitute our active footprint, it extends to the rest of the world—wherever the artists of Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East work and are shown. The 13th edition includes reflections from influential art-world figures on the major cultural events of 2017, such as artist Yayoi Kusama, independent curator Natasha Ginwala, and Barjeel Art Foundation founder Sultan Sooud al-Qassemi. For the Five Plus One section, AAP selected five artists who made a significant impact in 2017 and one who promises to do so in 2018, including Raseed Araeen, teamlab, Lisa Reihana, Song Dong, Melati Suryodarmo, and Martha Atienza.
