This is the best book I have read on habits. One of the reasons it seemed better than others I have read is because it seemed shorter, with a breadth of points that were a bit more condensed. The author had good advice and seemed content to the let the content do the talking. Not a lot of repeating. New ideas that I heard from his are to get better 1% every day, to stack habits on each other so that they build on each other (for example, every time you brush your teeth put whatever change you have in your pocket in your savings jar). There's also the issue of rewarding yourself for doing hard habits, making hard habits easier, just getting started with the first step as the way to get going, etc. A very good book that you should consider reading again. Also, there are additional tools and readings you can utilize at the atomic habits website.

 

As an aside, this book seems like it could be a good go-by should I ever decide to write my own book on cyclical industries (or whatever).
