This book changed the way I thought about starting a company.  It was essential in starting the foundations of Chartio.  It sets up great frameworks for deeply vetting and understanding an idea before moving forward with it.

I actually used this book to talk myself out of pursuing several other ideas, and was trying to talk myself out of starting Chartio but the opposite happened.  Taking the Chartio idea through this framework really highlighted the enormity of the customer need and revealed several necessary (and overlooked) values that are still core to our value prop.
