It has an understanding of the major issues facing the British economy and emphasizes the growing importance of the EU in all aspects of economic life. protectionism chapter has been re-written to focus on regional trade blocs - EU, NAFTA and ASEAN; the IT chapter has been re-written to cover a broader range of supply side policies - education, training, social policy and IT; and the chapter on EU has been revised to focus more on the Single Market, EMU and competition policy.
