Christine Riccio

Her life has been dorm, dining hall, class, repeat. Time's a ticking, and she needs a change -- there's nothing like moving to a new country to really mix things up. She is soon faced with the complicated realities of living outside her bubble, and when self-doubt sneaks in, her new life starts to fall apart. Shane comes to find that, with the right amount of courage and determination, one can conquer anything. Throw in some fate and a touch of magic - the possibilities are endless.

This book was actually quite enjoyable. Going into this book I was really hesitant since I wasn't enjoying the first 100 pages and saw all the mixed reviews. I decided to put it down and I eventually picked it back up which I'm glad I did! I like the setting of being abroad. The romance was interesting, to say the least. The thing that could use some work would be the writing but other than that it was a solid debut novel in my opinion. 4/5 stars
