Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga #1)

Colleen Houck
The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she’d be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year-old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world. But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spell- binding magic, and mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever. Tiger’s Curse is the exciting first volume in an epic fantasy-romance that will leave you breathless and yearning for more. “. . . a sweet romance and heart-pounding adventure. I found myself cheering, squealing, and biting my nails — all within a few pages. In short, Tiger’s Curse is magical." -Becca Fitzpatrick, New York Times bestselling author of Hush, Hush

Tiger's Curse is the first book in the Tiger's Saga. Kelsey is about to graduate high school. Her parents are dead and she has been living with her aunt. As much as she loves her aunt's family, Kelsey knows she needs to get away from them, attend college, and start a life of her own. To help pay for school, Kelsey takes a job at a traveling carnival where she will care for and feed the animals, especially the star of the show, a white tiger. Kelsey finds herself drawn to the tiger and begins spending time with him even when she doesn't have to. As the carnival gets ready to move to another town, a man comes and says he is taking the tiger away and wants Kelsey to take a permanent job caring for the tiger. Kelsey agrees and finds herself on the adventure of a lifetime in India. The tiger is really an Indian prince named Ren who has a curse on him that makes him a tiger for part of the day. Kelsey and Ren fall in love as they delve into Indian mythology and begin a quest to break the curse. Hauck creates a wonderful love story and adds depth by intertwining Indian mythology into the story. A superior story that pulls at the heartstrings with unique twists and atmosphere.
