Fixed spool angling

Alexander Wanless
An essential difference between revolving drum and fixed spool angling is that while the one is straight- forward and foolproof, the other conceals formidable snags behind its apparent simplicity. Fixed spool angling teems with problems, but for the great majority of them there is fortunately a solution. Fixed Spool Angling is devoted wholly to the solving of these problems, the method itself having been fully described in previous volumes by the same author, of whom the angling correspondent of the Sunday Times recently wrote: “Wanless, by precept and propaganda, has wrought a larger revolution in angling than any other single publicist.” Fixed Spool Angling per- forms a valuable and important service because anglers taking up this modern technique, and even experts, will find in its pages short cuts to efficiency.
