Elementals: Air (Elemental Series #2), The

Day Parker
Since discovering she is descended from an ancient Fire elemental, Sera Hadyn has struggled with her talent, unintentionally burning the guy she loves and narrowly escaping death on several occasions. Now with her Fire talent bound, her archrival Bree—an Air talent determined to steal Adam from her—has found a way to do just that. As if that wasn’t bad enough, someone has been working very hard behind the scenes to eliminate the Fire line once and for all. Can Sera cheat Death yet again by keeping those around her alive, or will casualties mount when the elements collide?

This is the second book in the Elementals series. I was pleasantly surprised that there was more of a plot line in this second book and brought more light to the back story of the Elemental lines. However, so many names of family members and ancestors are really confusing. It is hard for me to keep them straight. Also, there is quite a few typos and grammatical errors that I found while reading. Again, as stated with my review of the first book, why isn't anyone proofreading/editing these books before publication. Overall, I like the way the story is progressing and like the female lead. She is a strong person that handles struggles and challenges. She is someone I can relate too. I also like the witty dialogue from some of the main characters in this story. I will say that this so far is a series that I would recommend. I am interested in the next novel, The Elementals: Earth.
