The book that taught me that perception is in the eye of the beholder. What a twisted tale is woven by a young girl who is simply too young to comprehend appropriately what she sees. She perceives making out as something much different like a fight which only in 11 year old I perceive it as being. Lives left in ruin. maybe not the author leaves us with a terrible twist at the very end of the novel we're by were led to believe that all was make believe. And McEwan is a bit of a bastard as a novelist.
