Just OK. Too much filler, I didin't get the need for the lesbian storyline. It seemed to be thrown in in place of a deeper storyline the reader might have actually cared about. It was very DNA heavy. I don't mind learning something new while reading, but this was a cross between fiction and a textbook. There was no storyline/plot I truly cared about. The only reason I gave it 3-stars was because the actual writing was good. Read at your own risk! If you like the heavy forensic read, you might like this one.

Overall a fun read. A lot of build up in the beginning and then it gets good in the latter half. The writing is a bit jumbled and I would have to read the sentences twice. Also there are a lot of characters to keep track of. Sometimes the characters were referred by their first name and then their last name. That was hard to keep track.

I liked the characters though and the back story that was interwoven into the book. I stayed up and finished it in two sleepless nights. Which is why my review is short and choppy.
