The Birds of Azalea Street 2/5 stars

Even though it had some great lines, it wasn’t scary or thrilling.

In the Forest Dark and Deep 4.5/5 stars

Dark, creepy, and bloody. I’m officially afraid of Alice in Wonderland and rabbits after reading this.

Emmeline 1/5 stars

I thought this story was lame and I didn’t like that there was a romance aspect in this story.

Verse Chorus Verse 4/5 stars

Creepy, messed up, not okay, and suspenseful. I did get a tad confused at times and wished that we got more of Jaycee’s story and why she was where she was at.

Hide-and-Seek 2/5 stars

I liked the concept this story had going but was let down by the lack of thriller and horror.

The Dark, Scary Parts and All 4/5 stars

The ending was nasty and messed up and this story reminded me of The Merciless.

The Flicker, the Fingers, the Beat, the Sigh 4/5 stars

I enjoyed this story; not scary or thrilling as the others but I enjoyed it.

Fat Girl with a Knife 3.5/5 stars

I loved the title and was excited to see where this story would go. This piece was inspired by the movie Zombieland and I could clearly see those similarities.

Sleepless 5/5 stars

I thought this story was absolutely awesome! I loved how weird and strange this story became and this story was a favorite of mine from this collection.

M 2/5 stars

I liked the mini-songs throughout the piece, but I didn’t connect with this story.

The Girl Without a Face 4/5 stars

Great story! I liked how things came back to haunt those who did bad to others.

A Girl Who Dreamed of Snow 1/5 stars

I thought this story was stupid and I did not care for any of the plot or characters at all. This was my least liked story from the entire collection.

Stitches 4/5 stars

Even though this story freaked me out and was gross I still wanted more!

On the I-5 4.5/5 stars

This story was weird, brutal, messed up and made me never want to step near a truck stop again or be around dumpsters at a truck stop.

*Side note most of these stories had southern accents.
