Fatehgarh & The Mutiny

At the time of the outbreak of the Mutiny in 1857 the Civil Station and Cantonment of Fatehgarh had fallen far since the spacious days when Commissioners and other high officials abounded, and the garrison contained troops of all arms, their cantonments extending down the Cawnpore road as far as Kamalganj.
