I love this book because its one of the first book I read that helped me with memorization. It made poetry easy for me and was th start of me beginning to write my own poems and remember them by heart. I suggest any child, especially one that loves poetry to read this book, they won't regret it.

Langauge Arts Activity: Have students write their own poem, it doesn't have to rhyme, but I think that will make remembering much easier. Once the students have written their poem, have them read over poem and memorize it and then present it to the rest of the class. #forgetmenots
